Janell, RN, BSN is an entrepreneur, a registered nurse, a mom, and the Founder of Jordan's Corner. She graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. During college, Janell worked as a biology, anatomy, and elementary school tutor, STEM lead, nurse lab technician, and in hospitality. She went on to be a nurse for four years- working in medical-surgical trauma, telemetry, progressive coronary care unit, long-term acute critical care, FEMA crisis nursing, and concierge nursing.
Janell's vision for Jordan's Corner started with her kids. She discovered the need for a play place geared towards babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Jordan has a speech delay and Janell saw the need to provide a safe place for her to interact with other children. Nash, at the time, had a Doc Band and she saw the need to provide a cool place for him to crawl. Janell focused on creating an inclusive, indoor play place. Janell designed Jordan's Corner for children of all abilities to participate in purposeful play and to give parents the opportunity to build community.
Jordan's Corner is so excited to welcome your children! To ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible, we have gathered the best crew. Though small, we offer a wide range of expertise and experience from physical therapists to educators, nurses to Montessori Guides, and of course, parents. All of our staff have completed and passed background checks to ensure the safety of all.
Hello! My name is Anne! I’m a certified teacher with a degree in early childhood and elementary education. For the last year and a half, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom to my two kids shuffling them between speech therapy, feeding therapy, and physical therapy appointments. My son Paxton is 3 years old and my daughter Hadley is 15 months old. I am ready to get back to my passion, working with children and families! Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was a classroom teacher. I taught 3rd grade for three years and kindergarten for one year. I worked as a nanny and spent many years working in daycares prior to becoming a teacher. I am thrilled to be part of Jordan’s Corner. I cannot wait to lead classes and interact with families. Parenting is hard, but together we can laugh, cry, and help each other enjoy the wild ride. I cannot wait to meet you and your little ones at Jordan’s Corner where they will play, learn, grow and discover!
Hello my name is Riley Lunt. I am a 3rd generation Montessori Guide along with my grandma and mom. I went to Montessori school until junior high and loved it! I am AMI trained in ages 3-6 and taught in a Montessori school until I had my daughter Hazel. Now I am a stay at home mom. I enjoy helping other parents implement Montessori in their homes through my instagram @montessori_by_june and educational courses. I am so excited to work with Jordans corner and bring inclusive purposeful play to children!
